Today I went to the Girls Get Busy zinefest and I am going to show you some of the bitchin’ stuff I got. I didn’t manage to get everything I’d have liked due to a lack of money/certain zines selling out.
This is a zine by Dave Cave and Maranda Elizabeth (you can see it at TELEGRAM on etsy) and it’s funny because I have admired Maranda’s blog for ages but it just didn’t click that this was their zine until I was on my way home on the tube and it was a pleasant surprise..
This is LITERALLY THE BEST THING EVER! It’s a zine dedicated to Freaks and Geeks by the Norseman and I almost died of happiness when I discovered this existed.
This is obviously the Girls Get Busy zine that I’ve wanted to own for a very long time.
This is by the Swansea Feminist Network and I bought it at the Vampire Sushi Distro table (along with the REAL LIFE: a magical guide to getting off the internet) that’s filled with interesting pieces on a variety of sex related issues.
This is a zine featuring the poems of Talha Ahsan and I also got a flyer for an event called EXTRADITE ME, I’M BRITISH that I’m hopefully going to get tickets for.
This is a really cute zine by Sofia Niazi that I got from the Walrus zines table and my own regret of this purchase is that I didn’t buy another one to give to my friend.
